Annette Joubert-Mowen is a licensed massage therapist and has been certified by NCBTMB since 1993. She graduated NYU B.S. School of Education, Health Nursing and Arts professions in 1988.

Inner Sea Massage Therapy offers Oncology massage to support patients through their cancer journey. Massage work is a partnership with caretakers which incorporates self-care and stress management.

Massage Designed to Heal

In practice, we combine massage technique to each client’s individual needs, or work with their healthcare provider to determine an appropriate treatment plan. Clients need to know what to expect during massage and should be comfortable in understanding the techniques that will be used during a session.

If the session is stress related, we discuss how the body can manifest or suppress tension. To facilitate a “body awareness” breath and visualization is utilized. This helps clear tensions and holding patterns which have affected posture and caused uncomfortable compensation in body support.
