She worked on reducing the swelling with lymphatic draining and her scar massages loosened the tightness. She is such a knowledgeable, understanding and gentle healer which was exactly what I needed. It appeared to me in the hospital that my daughter was having a hard time latching to my breast. Being my first child and not having such experince once home, I called in a lactation consultant who diagnosed a tongue tie and advised a revision surgery. She said this would be the best bet for a successful latch in both breast and bottle feeding. The idea of putting my child through surgery was not acceptable without another opinion. I contacted Annette. She came to my home to work with me and my daughter. The in-home component was wonderful, to make us as comfortable as possible during the process. Annette was prompt, gentle and observed my daughters nursing and assisted me in relaxing into the process. I was able to take comfort that my daughter’s latch was developing, and I learned some infant massage techniques that relaxed us both. Note: My child was gaining weight and was healthy. I needed confidence that my breast feeding was solid. I determined that we should not rush to have surgery done.
Now 3 months old, my daughter is thriving, gaining weight and successfully latching. I am thrilled that Annette assisted us as a famlily to have skills to relax together which enhanced my bonding experience and not subject my family to unneeded surgery.

Today I had a massage to help me with neck pain that was giving me almost a migraine this was all caused by an car accident I had back in 1993. I have back and neck injuries on top of thoracic outlet syndrome from this accident that I have been dealing with since then. I have have had many massages at many different places since. Annette Joubert is a pleasant and professional health care provider. She is very good at explaining what she is going to do during a treatment session and why she is doing it. She is trained and skilled at treating lymph edema and other issues related to the proper functioning of the lymphatic system in general. As a post-cancer treatment patient I would recommend her to any cancer patient who is concerned about post treatment care and continued healing.
